Social Learning Environment (SLE)
A Space for Students to Connect, Learn and Innovate
Help us create a social learning environment for TEVİTÖL students to spend their breaks in the most productive way possible.
Breaks in TEVİTÖL
TEVITÖL students mostly spend their times at hallways during short recesses and the lunch break. Despite most of the classes being at the main building, there are quite limited sitting areas, where students can relax and socialize, in the hallways especially of the ground floor.
Unused Area
At the ground floor, there is about 450 m² of area consisting of billiard tables, praying room, storage rooms, toilets, an office and IT school club room, which can be easily transferred to another space and is not needed much. We aim to repurpose this area to bring social learning environment to life.
Our plan is to rebuild the area as a space including 3 guidance & councelling offices, 2 toilets, a performance/media stage, a kitchen, a grand piano and varying comfortable spaces that students can spend their times individually or in groups.
Evaluation of the Environment
The stage might be used for displaying a short film, a mini-concert of a GSP music department student, or debate practice of debate club students. On this multipurpose stage, they can witness performances of many talented students.
A piano performance of a student can accompany friendly conversations.
Some may prefer to read a book quietly, or do their homework, while others may be lost in long conversations
The Cafe provides self-service for free coffee. Considering that the nearest cafe is about 7 km away, this will be a very good alternative for studentswho spend most of their time at school.
